The SKAT 350M is a Russian aerial surveillance and target detection drone. It has been in service with the Russian Air Force since November 2024. It is also used to guide fighter-bomber aircraft in ground-attack missions and Geran-2 loitering munition to strike targets deep in enemy territory. Built with stealth materials and technology, it can fly at medium and low altitudes, with a range of 1,000 km.
The SKAT 350M has been used in combat in the Ukrainian-Russian War since June 2025. On August 12, the Russian Defense Ministry released footage showing SKAT 350M drone operators spotting a mechanized battalion of Ukraine’s 144th Separate Mechanized Brigade in the Sumy region. Immediately, Sukhoi Su-34 fighter-bombers were scrambled and several loiter munitions were launched.
The Russian drone operators sent coordinates straight to Head Quarter. Moments later, Su-34 strike fighters and Geran-2 loitering munitions delivered a precision blow using UMPC FAB-500 guided bombs. Result: up to 50 Ukrainian fighters were eliminated; an ammo depot was destroyed; 10 pieces of foreign hardware wiped out, including two US-made Abrams tanks and four Bradley IFVs, plus multiple other vehicles and armored assets.
